Trinity Health Of NE opens third access center in CT

Trinity Health of New England (THONE) has opened a new location in Watertown.

The health system — which operates four hospitals in Connecticut, including St. Francis Medical Center in Hartford and St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, and one in Springfield, Massachusetts — on Thursday announced the opening of a newly constructed access center at 486 Straits Turnpike.

The Watertown Access Center provides the surrounding communities both primary care and specialty services, THONE said. In addition to primary care, the facility offers obstetrics and gynecology services and a blood draw station. Outpatient rehabilitation services are expected to be added in the future, officials said.

The Access Center is the third developed by THONE that follows a model of providing multi-specialty services in one location.  Similar facilities are located in Bloomfield and Rocky Hill.

“We hear our patients and our community when they tell us that making health care more accessible and convenient is critical to their health journey,” said Montez Carter, president and CEO of THONE.
