Trinity College in Hartford received a $746,231 grant from the National Science Foundation to renovate five research laboratories for chemistry and neuroscience.
The money comes from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act. The labs will be gutted and built back up with new lighting, plumbing, electrical systems, flooring and asbestos abatement.
“It will be great. It’s really going to help our program,” said Timothy P. Curran, a chemistry professor and the principal grant applicant, in a statement. “We’re looking forward to using the new labs for our summer research program starting next May.”
