Tribune reports dip in ad revenues

The Tribune Co., the media organization that owns the Hartford Courant, the Hartford Advocate and Fox 61, posted its third quarter earnings, reporting a fluctuation in revenues. The publishing sector of the company experienced a $67 million decrease, or a 9 percent dip, in advertising revenue and a 6 percent decrease in retail advertising revenues, but interactive revenues, mainly classifieds, were up 9 percent, compared to the same time last year. Circulation revenues were down 5 percent from Q3 last year.
