New Haven-based Trevi Therapeutics Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company, has named three new high-level leaders.
The company is focused on the development and commercialization of Haduvio to treat serious neurologically mediated conditions. Trevi is currently developing Haduvio for the treatment of chronic pruritus, chronic cough in patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and levodopa-induced dyskinesia in patients with Parkinson’s disease.
Shashank Rohatagi will serve as vice president, pharmacology and clinical pharmacokinetics. Rohatagi will be responsible for managing the supportive studies required to seek regulatory approvals.
Farrell Simon is the company’s new vice president, head of U.S. marketing. Simon will lead the development and implementation of the commercial strategy for Haduvio.
Katherine S. Takaki has been named vice president, global regulatory affairs. Takaki will oversee Trevi’s global regulatory strategies including interactions with key regulatory authorities and leading any registration efforts for Haduvio.

Guilford manufacturer Brook & Whittle names new leaders
Brook and Whittle Holdings Corp. of Guilford, which makes labels for various commercial products, recently expanded its executive team.
Paul Hogan will serve as chief financial officer. He has over 30 years of senior financial management experience. He has been recognized as an industry leader, winning the Plastics News’ “CFO of the Year” award in 2016.
Scott Willey is the new vice president, strategic projects. He previously served as CFO for the company.
Daryl Northcott is the company’s new vice president, marketing, innovation & procurement. He will lead efforts in creating supply chain solutions for customers, and he has over 20 years of experience in the film label business.
