Travelers gives $24M in charitable donations in 2025, including CT projects

Insurer The Travelers Cos. Inc. has published a report on its 2025 community giving, which details charitable contributions of around $24 million in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.

In Connecticut, Travelers made a $1 million commitment to The Wadsworth Athenaeum to help the museum restore its Wednesday hours for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant will span across five years.

The company is also a founding partner of Hartford Promise, a college scholarship program for Hartford public school graduates.

In 2025, Travelers said it committed $1 million over four years to the Greater Futures Scholarship Fund, a collaboration between Hartford Promise and the Greater Hartford Gives Foundation, which will provide each eligible student with a scholarship of up to $100,000.

Travelers is a key sponsor of innovation awards at the Connecticut Invention Convention State Finals and employees serve as judges for student inventions. In 2025, employees also helped assemble more than $5,000 worth of school supplies to help educators across the state participate in the enrichment program.

According to the report, volunteers from Travelers worked with urban farm nonprofit Levo International to help combat food insecurity in Hartford’s North End, building greenhouses and hydroponic systems.

Travelers also partnered with Greater Hartford Arts Council to provide around $530,000 in grants to support 17 Hartford-based arts organizations.
