The 2026 Travelers Championship is set to begin this week at Cromwell’s TPC River Highlands, attracting an elite field of professional golfers.
The roster, headlined by world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, includes all but one of the eligible top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking. Also competing are Cameron Young (No. 3), Matt Fitzpatrick (No. 4), Russell Henley (No. 5), Justin Rose (No. 6), Tommy Fleetwood (No. 7), Wyndham Clark (No. 8), Collin Morikawa (No. 9) and defending champion Keegan Bradley.
No. 2-ranked Rory McIlroy is skipping the Travelers Championship as part of a lighter schedule this year.
The tournament, a PGA Tour Signature Event, offers a $20 million purse across 72 players competing in four rounds. Competition begins Thursday, June 25, with ticketed spectators admitted to the grounds starting Wednesday, June 24.
It’s the tournament’s 20th consecutive year with property and casualty insurer The Travelers Cos. as its title sponsor.

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, an Ashford-based organization that provides traditional summer camp experiences to children with serious illnesses, is this year’s primary beneficiary.
Dozens of other nonprofits working in areas including arts and culture, education, food insecurity, housing and mental health will receive donations through the tournament’s Birdies for Charity program.
Since Travelers took over as title sponsor in 2007, the tournament has distributed tens of millions of dollars to more than 1,000 local and regional charities. Last year, it distributed more than $4 million to nearly 250 organizations — both tournament records.
Weekend coverage will air on NBC, with live broadcasts Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Golf Channel will carry Thursday and Friday coverage from 3 to 6 p.m., along with Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.
PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ will stream featured groups and select holes throughout the week, and the event is also available on Peacock and the Golf Channel app.
