Hamden’s TransAct Technologies Inc. is making good on its bid to expand deeper into casinos, attaching 1,800 of its electronic coupon dispensers to slot games at a Spokane, Wash., Indian gaming parlor.
TransAct Chairman and CEO said in a statement Tuesday the company also installed its casino management system package at the Kalispel Tribe of Indians’ Northern Quest Resort & Casino. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Last August, the company cryptically announced the sale of 1,700 coupon machines to an unidentified customer.
TransAct claimed then to be honoring the casino’s request that it not be publicly identified for competitive reasons until its system goes live before the end of 2012. It never made a public followup to name the customer.
A TransAct officer and a spokesman didn’t’ returns calls Tuesday for comment.
In Connecticut, TransAct initially tested EpiCentral at Foxwoods Resort Casino. The company has since launched the system live at casinos in New Jersey.
TransAct dispensers also are used in retail settings, including at McDonald’s fast-food restaurants.
