Hamden printer and software maker TransAct Technologies said it has sold 850 of its slot machine printers to a Hard Rock Hotel & Casino set to open Aug. 1 in Sioux City, Iowa.
The Epic 950 thermal printers accept and dispense tickets to slot machine players, and also interact with TransAct’s promotion and bonus software. TransAct said the printers are installed on more than 500,000 machines in hundreds of casinos around the world.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
