Hamden software and terminal maker TransAct Technologies Inc. said an Ohio appeals court has upheld a previous ruling denying Avery Dennison Corp.’s request for a preliminary injunction against TransAct over its trade secrets.
Another Ohio judge in November 2012 denied Avery Dennison’s request for a preliminary injunction for what it saw as misappropriations of its trade secrets related to its food safety terminals.
The terminal in question was TransAct’s Ithaca 9700, which prints food expiration labels for food service businesses.
Avery makes a food terminal called FreshMarx.
