Toys “R” Us will open a temporary holiday store at The Shops at Evergreen Walk, the shopping center in South Windsor announced Monday.
The pop-up shop, opening this month, will operate through the end of January, offering toys, games and gifts for the holiday shopping season.
The store will feature what the center called a curated selection of sought-after toys and exclusive merchandise. It joins other retailers at Evergreen Walk including L.L. Bean, Anthropologie, Apple, Sephora and Lululemon.
The shopping center’s holiday programming also includes a tree lighting celebration, Santa visits and live entertainment.
The Shops at Evergreen Walk is an outdoor lifestyle center designed as a pedestrian-friendly shopping destination with free parking.
Toys “R” Us, once a dominant toy retailer, filed for bankruptcy in 2017 and closed its U.S. stores in 2018. The brand has since returned through partnerships and pop-up locations.
