Toys ‘R’ Us opens pop-up locations at Macy’s stores

Toys “R” Us, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2017, no longer has any brick-and-mortar locations.

But the chain is reprising its retail presence, opening pop-up locations at Macy’s stores this holiday season, including six in Connecticut.

Toys “R” Us-branded shops have opened at Macy’s locations at the Westfarms, Danbury Fair, Stamford Town Center, Trumbull, Shoppes At Buckland Hills and Connecticut Post malls. They are among more than 400 locations nationwide.

The pop-up stores opened on Oct. 15. There will be daily in-store events at each location through Oct. 23, including family events and giveaways.
