Torrington builder sells new Dollar General building in Plymouth for $2.36M

A Torrington builder of retail properties just constructed and sold a Plymouth building hosting a Dollar General for $2.36 million to a Los Angeles investor.

Torrington-based Calito Development Group – headed by Gary Eucalitto – specializes in development for national retailers. McG Plymouth LLC, a limited liability company tied to the developer, paid $525,000 for a vacant 1.8-acre lot along Route 6 in Plymouth in early 2022.

That year, Calito built a 10,640-square-foot building to host a Dollar General, and then sold the property in June to the Los Angeles-based Barthell Family Trust.

Daniel R. de Sa’, a founder of New York-based HMX Realty Advisors, said the building has a triple-net lease, affording an investment for an investor seeking stable returns.

This is the latest in a string of Dollar General sales for Calito. The company is a preferred builder for Dollar General, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Chipotle and other national retailers.
