Glastonbury software developer TopCoder Inc. has opened a $50,000 contest for code writers to create by mid-January new algorithms that will help the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office conduct patent review.Â
Contest registration for coders begins Wednesday and ends Dec. 5 at http://community.topcoder.com/ntl . Specifics pertaining to the patent contest will go live on the site at 1 p.m. Wednesday. said TopCoder spokesman Jim McKeown.Â
After enrolling, contestants have from Dec. 16 to Jan. 16 to complete and submit their algorithm-code entries.
