The governor’s decision to set aside $5 million in the state budget for a transatlantic flight paid off when Aer Lingus committed in October to nonstop service to Dublin, Ireland. The flights will launch in September 2016 because of that subsidy.

The announcement of a potential premium mall in our Aug. 25 Deal Watch caught potential shoppers’ eyes. The project is still in the planning stage but has secured initial town approvals in Windsor Locks.
