Tolland firm snares Canadian EV charger pact

Tolland business developer Lot 78 Inc. says it has signed an exclusive marketing deal to introduce its Juice Bar electric vehicle charger to the Canadian market.

David Schmid, CEO of Lot 78, whose stock trades over the counter, said the partnership with Ontario-based sPARK Electric Vehicle Charging will benefit as more electric vehicles become available in Canada. Financial or other terms weren’t disclosed Tuesday.

The Juice Bar is a customizable electric vehicle (EV) charging station. sPark provides electric vehicle charging technology and customized installations in residential, commercial, and industrial Canadian markets.

In March, the U.S. federal government authorized the sale of Lot 78’s EV-charging station and its products to federal facilities around the world.
