Prison officials have shut down a program involving inmates entering computer data for state agencies after getting a tip of an alleged security breach.
The state run program at York Correctional Institution has had inmates entering data for state agencies.
A correction department spokesman say the program has been shut down since Thursday after prison officials investigate an anonymous tip that security has been breached.
About 50 female inmates provide optical imaging of documents, data entry, mailing services and microfilm conversion at the prison.
According to the DOC, the program provides data-entry services for a large number of state agencies.
