Three-story retail building in Wilton sells for $2.75M

A three-story, 24,000-square-foot retail building in Wilton has exchanged hands for $2.75 million, according to the town’s land records.

The buyer is 24 Danbury Road LLC, controlled by Akhtar and Wasisa Zamir, of Norwalk. Calls to Akhtar Zamir, who is the co-owner of Norwalk Smoke Shop in Norwalk, according to his LinkedIn profile, were not immediately returned.

The seller is Better Environments LLC, controlled by Douglas Cutler, of Wilton. Cutler owns Douglas Cutler Architects, one of the building’s tenants. Other tenants include PuroClean of Wilton/Ridgefield, Wilton Laundromats and Loop de Loop consignment shop, according to their websites.

The building, which was built in 1968, is appraised at $1.87 million and assessed at $1.31 million, according to property records. Better Environments bought the property for $1.3 million in 2003.
