A proposal to turn a three-story office building in Greenwich into multifamily housing has been given the green light by town zoning officials.
Christopher J. Lerose, doing business as 530 Old Post Road Partners LLC, plans to convert the three-story building at 530 Old Post Road into 10 apartments, according to an application filed with the town.
Lerose is a certified public accountant who lives in Greenwich.
The town Planning and Zoning Commission approved the application on Monday.
The 13,572-square-foot apartment building will have six two-bedroom units and four one-bedroom units, the application states. One of the units will be designated as affordable housing.
Two of the first-floor units, including the affordable-housing unit, will have a private patio. The roof will be converted into a rooftop terrace for use by the residents.
The building sits on a 0.46-acre parcel that will have 12 parking spaces for the apartment building, down from 37 spaces for the office building.
