Golf superstars Padraig Harrington, Zach Johnson and Justin Leonard have committed to play in the 2011 Travelers Championship at Cromwell’s TPC River Highlands in June.
Combined, the three players have five major championships and 24 PGA Tour victories.Â
They join already committed players Bubba Watson, Kenny Perry, Vijay Singh, Lucas Glover, Jhonattan Vegas and Anthony Kim in the 2011 field.
Harrington has 21 total career wins internationally, including three majors, and is currently 34th in the Official World Golf Rankings. He won the 2007 and 2008 British Open Championships as well as the 2008 PGA Championship. Harrington will be making his third appearance to TPC River Highlands in Cromwell this summer.
The 2007 Masters Tournament winner, Johnson has seven career PGA TOUR victories including a tie for third in the 2010 PGA Championship. In 2006, he was a member of the U.S. Ryder Cup team. Johnson is currently ranked 33rd in the Official World Golf Rankings.
Leonard owns 12 career PGA TOUR victories. He won the British Open Championship in 1997, and earned second place finishes at the PGA Championship twice – in 1997 and 2004. Additionally, he won THE PLAYERS Championship in 1998 and was a member of the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 1997 and 1999.
