Thomaston Savings Bank has reopened its Middlebury branch following a comprehensive renovation.
The branch, located at 1655 Straits Turnpike, originally opened in 2007. The updated location features a redesigned interior and exterior intended to modernize the space and improve customer service, according to the bank.
The exterior façade was updated to improve visibility from the street and now includes large windows that bring more natural light inside. The interior has been remodeled with new materials, a more efficient layout and custom artwork depicting Middlebury scenes to connect the branch more closely with the community. The redesign also created additional private office space for clients to meet with bankers, mortgage lenders, commercial lenders and Thomaston Financial Services investment advisors.
Thomaston Savings Bank, founded in 1874, is a state-chartered mutual savings bank headquartered in Thomaston. It operates 16 full-service branches across western Connecticut.
