Thomaston Savings Bank has filed an application with the state Department of Banking to open a new branch and ATM in New Britain, a move that would expand its reach closer to Hartford.
The $1.6 billion asset bank is looking to open a full-service branch at 233 Main St. It currently operates 15 full-service branches stretching from Torrington, Bethlehem and Waterbury to Bristol and Farmington.
Thomaston Savings Bank has made an application with the State of Connecticut Department of Banking and FDIC for a new branch and ATM in New Britain. This will be the first location in New Britain, further expanding the Bank’s network and outreach for current and potential customers.
“This new location will be our 16th branch location and our 20th full-service ATM location,” said Stephen Lewis, president and CEO of Thomaston Savings Bank. “It is in the center of the downtown New Britain area really putting a foothold into a new market and providing a deep commitment to the area.”
