Community Table in New Preston has been named 2025 Connecticut Restaurant of the Year by the Connecticut Restaurant Association.
The Litchfield County spot beat out seven other county winners and 32 finalists to win the overall CRAZIES competition, which is decided by a media panel and some 20,000 public votes.
Ashley Flagg from The Laurel in West Hartford was named Chef of the Year.
Restaurant Newcomer went to Bar Bushido in Norwalk.
The other county winners included Whitecrest Eatery in Stonington, Restaurant L’Ostal in Darien, Le Mazet in West Hartford, Gioia Cafe & Bar in New Haven, Camille’s Wood Fired Pizza in Tolland, Grano Arso in Chester and ANYA in Thompson.
The awards were presented this week at an event at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
“The excitement and energy of bringing together 1,500 industry professionals once again highlighted the strength and resilience of Connecticut’s restaurant and hospitality community — an economic force that represents nearly 10 percent of all jobs in our state,” said Scott Dolch, CEO of the Association.
Spartan Restaurant & Bar in Waterbury and Willimantic Brewing Company were both inducted into the Connecticut Hospitality Hall of Fame.
In addition to the voted award winners, the Connecticut Restaurant Association recognized Esaul Rodriguez of Puerto Vallarta as the 2025 Restaurateur of the Year. With eight locations across the state, Rodriguez has one of the largest full-service Mexican restaurant concepts in Connecticut.
