Hamden’s Quinnipiac University nursing professor Barbara Moynihan is the newest fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.
Moynihan was inducted Saturday during the academy’s annual meeting and conference in Washington D.C.
She was honored, officials said, for her pioneering role in the development of forensic nursing as well as for her long-term commitment to addressing the gaps in services and resources available to victims of interpersonal violence.
