The ‘Stack’ is the former CT Bus Depot building immediately to the south of the main building on the nine-acre District New Haven technology and innovation campus at 470 James Street. The Stack houses Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ Grille.
In partnership with the Black Hog Brewing Co., the new eatery also incorporates an in-house brewery with five savory brews concocted on-site and served in 32-ounce growlers.

On Aug. 7 it also housed (temporarily) some 100 revelers on hand for the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Business After Hours hoedown.
