The Hartford Financial Services group is looking to sell its occupied Simsbury campus, in order to move forward with plans to relocate the 1,500 employees there.
CBRE/New England announced Thursday that the insurer had retained the real estate firm to unload the 641,000-square-foot, Class A office complex at 200 Hopmeadow St. in Simsbury. The entire campus encompasses 133 acres.
The listing price was not publicly disclosed. The complex includes a four-story atrium, executive boardrooms, and walking paths.
The Hartford has occupied the building since 1984, buying it in 2010 for $46.5 million. Earlier this year, the insurer announced plans to close the facility and move its employees to its offices in Hartford and Windsor.
