Hartford Financial Serfvices Group Inc. has engaged longtime information-technology outsource partner Accenture to update and streamline its finance and accounting operations.
Under a series of contracts between the Hartford insurer-wealth manager, Accenture will provide management and technology consulting as well as finance and accounting business process outsourcing services.
Terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
Accenture, of Dublin, Ireland, says its consulting relationship with The Hartford dates to 1995.
According to officials with both companies, Accenture will help The Hartford simplify and standardize processes and tools across the finance department; identify appropriate investments in technologies to increase speed to market; improve process consistency and reduce cost; and streamline the finance organization, remove redundant oversight; and increase the speed of decision-making.
