The Gathering, a multicultural celebration in downtown Waterbury, returns this weekend after a three-year hiatus due to COVID.
The festival, which celebrates the city’s cultural heritage and diversity, is set for Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It will be held mainly in Library Park, 267 Grand St., and includes a parade through downtown Waterbury.
The festival includes traditional ethnic fare, activities and entertainment. The city’s honorary Mayors for the Day from the past 12 months will be feted.
