Our Mission: The Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness, in partnership with members and communities throughout the state, creates change through leadership, advocacy, and building the capacity of members and the field to respond to environmental challenges. Our collective mission is to prevent and end homelessness in Connecticut.
CCEH represents a coalition of agencies, businesses, faith-based communities, and individuals committed to ending homelessness in Connecticut. Our organization is dedicated to making sure that every person in Connecticut has a place to call home by building a homeless crisis response system equipped to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring for everybody in our state. Together over the past few years, we have built a system that has reduced annual homelessness by 40% since 2012. Our current focus is to functionally end homelessness in our state by 2023.
Fundraising Events/Opportunities
Every year, 1,000 families in our state enter the shelter system, yet homelessness is typically preventable for families. Donate to the be homeful project, CCEH’s campaign to end family homelessness in Connecticut. Funds you donate will provide one-time emergency assistance to help a local family remain housed rather than enter the shelter system. The average cost of keeping a family housed is $1,000.
Giving Opportunities
Be homeful for the holidays! Hold a Paddington™ “bear-raiser” this holiday season. Your business can join the fight against homelessness by signing up to hold a “bear-raiser” drive. For every $25 your team raises, we will gift a Paddington™ plush bear, book, or blankie in your honor to a child in shelter. Order your “bear-raiser” kit today!

Volunteer Opportunities
Become a member. CCEH membership is open to businesses that are passionate about ending homelessness. Membership is $20/month.
Sign up to participate in the Point-in-Time Count or Youth Count this January. These annual censuses of the homeless population provide an opportunity for your office to learn about homelessness firsthand.
Become a Paddington™ Ambassador. Do you want to help children in your community? Visit behomeful.org/act to sign up to be a Paddington™ Ambassador and learn how you can raise awareness in your community about how homelessness affects local children.
