Stratford’s Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has delivered three upgraded versions of its S-92 helicopters to the Royal Thai Air Force.
Sikorsky said the VVIP S-92 air ambulances shipped in April are its first sales to the Thai Air Force. The Thai Navy has flown Sikorsky aircraft since 1996.
The birds also are the first equipped with its proprietary LifePort service kits for storing and mounting medical supplies and equipment. Sikorsky acquired LifePort Inc. last July.
Delivery prices weren’t disclosed.
Separately, Sikorsky said the Swedish military has ordered 15 UH-60M Black Hawks helicopters — six to be delivered this year, the rest in 2012 under an accelerated production schedule. Prices weren’t revealed.
Sikorsky is a division of United Technologies Corp. in Hartford.
