Austin, Texas-based renewable energy installer Solar Community has opened a Connecticut sales office, hoping to take advantage of the state’s recommitt to solar power.
Solar Community announced in late January the development of a sales team for Connecticut, part of the company’s plans to create 250 jobs in eight states.
Connecticut became more attractive to solar installers since the state General Assembly passed energy policy reform legislation in June, creating extra incentives and funding programs for renewable energy projects.
As part of its Connecticut expansion, Solar Community is hiring sales agents to sell their installations. Agents earn between $1,000 and $5,000 per system sold.
