Dallas-based online vehicle auction company Copart Inc. opened a new location in East Granby.
The 49 Russel Road location is the company’s second one in Connecticut, a statement from the company said. The space was previously occupied by the now-defunct Hartford-Springfield Auto Auction.
“Our new (East Granby) location will provide capacity to accommodate our continuing growth in volume and additional convenience for our buyers in the region,” Copart CEO Jay Adair said in a statement.
At the new site, Copart will host auctions every Thursday at 8 a.m., with the next one planned for July 18, the statement said. Eligible buyers will be able to bid on inventory from computers, smartphones, tablets or kiosks in the building, it said.
