Texas-based Healthcare2U expands into CT

Austin, Texas-based Healthcare2U is expanding its network of direct primary-care clinics into the Northeast, starting with clinics in Connecticut.

Drs. Lorenzo Galante and Sanjay K. Aggarwal of New Haven have joined Healthcare2U’s Private Physician Network (PPN) of 60 clinics providing medical care, wellness and chronic disease management.

Healthcare2U works with healthcare brokers and businesses of all sizes to provide a suite of customized group health plans to deliver direct primary care to keep healthcare costs low while promoting healthy workforces, according to a news release from the company.

Through its membership-based model, no insurance claims are filed for members’ doctor visits against the company’s health plan. Employee members can access same-day or next-day appointments with a $10 visit fee for each clinic visit and members have access to telemedicine practitioners, Healthcare2U said.

Through the New Haven clinic, Healthcare2U members will be able to access primary care, wellness coaching and chronic-disease management. In addition to a network of 60 affiliated clinics, Healthcare2U delivers primary care through dedicated on-site employer based clinics and employer shared clinics.
