Tech veteran Dillon joins TransAct board

TransAct Technologies Inc. says seasoned West Coast technology executive John M. Dillon was elected to its board of directors.

Dillon, 60, was elected to a one-year term at the recent annual meeting for the Hamden maker of electronic dispensers of promotional coupons attached to retail point-of-sale terminals and slot machines.

He has been appointed to several committees, including audit.

In return, he gets the usual corporate retainer: $9,000 for every fiscal quarter served, plus the initial issuance of 10,000 options for TransAct stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. After that, he would get 7,500 options each year that he serves.
