TransAct Technologies Inc. has signed a new lease agreement that will significantly reduce its corporate headquarters space in Hamden while extending its stay at One Hamden Center through 2029.
The maker of printers and software for the casino, gaming and food service industries said in a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it entered into a third amendment to its lease on Nov. 3. The new terms take effect Nov. 1, 2025, and run through Dec. 31, 2029.
Under the amended agreement, TransAct’s office footprint at 2319 Whitney Ave. will shrink from about 11,000 square feet to roughly 3,630 square feet. The downsizing will cut its monthly rent to $6,806 from the current $19,474, according to the filing.
The company will also pay a share of increases in the landlord’s operating costs and monthly electrical charges. The landlord, at its own expense, will handle work to separate the new premises from the existing space.
TransAct designs and manufactures transaction-based and specialty printers, terminals and software for markets including gaming, lottery, food service and banking.
