The Connecticut Tech Council honored 10 innovators during its seventh annual Women of Innovation awards dinner at the Aqua Turf Club in Southington March 31. More than 500 guests heard keynoter Ella Edmondson Bell, the founder and president of ASCENT — Leading Multicultural Women to the Top. Bell is considered to be one of the leading experts in the management of race, gender, and class in the workplace. She is an associate professor of Business Administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Pictured are, from left, Ellyn Savard, program initiatives manager with the Girl Scouts of Connecticut; Bell; and Rachel Winsor, a finalist and Connecticut Technology Council scholarship winner in the Youth Innovation and Leadership category. Savard nominated Winsor, from Stamford High School, for the honor.
