Melanie S. Tavares has been hired to serve as the new director of the nonprofit support program at The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
Tavares has worked for several state and national organizations, including the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Corporation for National and Community Service. At the Hartford Foundation she will play a significant role in developing a strategic plan focused on creating greater racial, geographic and economic inclusion in Greater Hartford.
