Task force seeks input on Conn. hospitals

With the state’s acute care hospitals losing money at an alarming rate, a state task force will hold a public hearing to compile the public’s input on ways to improve hospital finances and patient access to care. Statewide last year, Connecticut hospitals had operating margins between 9 percent and negative 8 percent. The Hospital System Strategic Task Force will hold a public hearing tomorrow at the Legislative Office Building. Preliminary recommendations regarding Medicaid reimbursement rates and revenue bonds are available online at www.ct.gov/ohca.
