The Swiss government has ordered a freeze of any assets belonging to Libya’s Moammar Gadhafi in Switzerland, The Associated Press reports.
The Cabinet says it ordered the freeze “in view of the developments” in Libya, where security forces have launched a violent crackdown against anti-government protesters.
The Swiss government said in a statement Thursday that it wants to prevent the misuse of any possible Libyan assets remaining in Switzerland.
