A craft cannabis company with several locations in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic has opened a new dispensary at the corner of Park Road and Prospect Avenue in West Hartford.
Sweetspot Farms celebrated the grand opening of its first Connecticut dispensary at 2 Park Road on Saturday. The company has received approval for a second location in Stamford.
The hybrid dispensary, which serves both medical patients and recreational customers, features a “digital bud bar” that showcases available strains along with information about their THC, cannabinoid and terpene content. Experienced “budtenders” can provide additional information.
“Sweetspot focuses on milder products and a very personalized experience,” said Jason Webski, Sweetspot’s co-founder and CEO, who is a Connecticut native. “We are the store for people who are interested in adding cannabis to their daily routine, but are new to the product.”
The dispensary is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sweetspot is West Hartford’s second adult-use cannabis retail store. The other, Budr Cannabis, is at 1037 Boulevard.
Sweetspot also has dispensaries in Portland, Maine; Olney, Maryland; Voorhees, New Jersey; Exeter, Rhode Island; and Essex Junction, Vermont. The company operates a sustainable cultivation facility in Rhode Island.
Sweetspot Farms was founded in 2019 and opened its first dispensary in Maryland.
