Two-thirds of Connecticut renters say they are interesting in owning a home, according to a study from the Connecticut Housing Financie Authority.
The survey, performed because June is National Homeownership Month, was meant to entice renters to take advantage of CHFA’s below-market interest rate mortgages for low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers.
The current CHFA interest rate is 2.75 percent for a 30-year fixed mortgage.
The survey questioned 600 Connecticut renters from April 8 to May 2.
