Millennials in Connecticut are among the biggest spenders at coffee shops, while they rank nearly last in fast food spending, according to an analysis by Level Money, which makes a mobile app for budgeting.
The California company said Connecticut residents between the ages of 18 and 35 ranked fourth in the country in coffee shop spending and 49th in fast food spending.
Connecticut residents spent an average of $245 a year at coffee shops, with 9 percent buying more than once a week, Level Money said. Meanwhile, they spent $471 on fast food, with 10 percent buying more than once a week.
Level Money used an anonymous analysis of the spending habits of its member base of more than 500,000 people.
