SURGERY PAVILION WITH POST-ANESTHESIA CARE UNIT DEDICATED AT SAINT FRANCIS

The Arthur and Mariko Byrne Surgery Pavilion in the new John T. O’Connell Tower was recently dedicated at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. The pavilion consists of 17 operating suites, four of which are cardiac; six orthopedic/neurology/hybrid operating rooms; and seven general surgery rooms, including two robotic areas. Located within the pavilion are four operating rooms newly-named The Woodland Anesthesiology Associates Operating Suites. A new post-anesthesia care unit area named The Dr. Ronald E. and Elizabeth S. Burt Family Post-Anesthesia Care Unit has been completely redesigned and reopened adjacent to the new operating room suites. Pictured are, from left, Christopher Dadlez, president and CEO, St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center; Mariko and Arthur Byrne, donors; The Most Reverend Henry J. Mansell, archbishop of Hartford; and Lynn Rossini, interim president, St. Francis Foundation.
