A Massachusetts-based real estate firm has paid $1.5 million for an East Granby office building formerly home to ticket resale company StubHub.
Development Associates LLC, of Agawam, Mass., purchased the 54,000-square-foot office building at 2 Gateway Blvd., from 2 Gateway Boulevard LLC on Dec. 31, town records show.
StubHub, the world’s largest online event ticket exchange, previously occupied the office building’s entire first floor for roughly a dozen years before it moved its 24/7 customer service and sales center operation to Salt Lake City, Utah, in summer 2018. The move came just years after StubHub announced it planned to triple its East Granby workforce to 300 employees.
As previously reported, the StubHub relocation impacted about 200 Connecticut workers.
Broker Colliers International Group Inc., which arranged the sale of the office building, said space is currently available from 5,000 square feet to 52,000 square feet.
The total appraised value of the property and building, as of 2018, is more than $2.8 million, town records show.
