Straton Industries buys Stratford property for expansion

Straton Industries has purchased an industrial property at 261 Masarik Ave., Stratford for $465,000, with a goal of using it for future expansion.

Straton Industries, founded in 1961, manufactures molds, tools, dies and stampings. Its customers are in a variety of industries, such as aerospace, automotive, electronic, energy, industrial, medicine and the military.

David Cremin, president of Straton, indicated that the manufacturing business owns neighboring property, and the purchase of the 4,290-square-foot building will enable its future expansion. 

“The building will be used to expand the company’s ongoing precision machining operations,” he said, in an announcement.

The building had previously been home to an electrical contractor and more recently to a plumbing business. 

Silvester Garza and Bruce Wettenstein, SIOR of Vidal/Wettenstein, a Westport-based commercial real estate firm, represented both the buyer and seller in the deal.

F + F Mechanical leases space in Trumbull

F + F Mechanical of North Haven has leased space at 140 Corporate Drive in Trumbull for 10 years.

The financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.

The family-owned and operated company is involved in the fabrication, installation and maintenance of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and plumbing systems throughout Connecticut.  

The company plans to use the Trumbull location as a fabrication facility and warehouse of HVAC parts for its growing Fairfield County client base.

The 18,680-square-foot building had originally been constructed for a Norwalk-based printing company.

Stephen Hodson of Hodson Realty represented F + F Mechanical in the deal. Bruce Wettenstein, SIOR and partner with Vidal/Wettenstein of Westport, represented the property owner, Developers Consolidated Realty LLC.

Roamrig inks three-year lease for North Branford space

Roamrig LLC, which installs after-market luxury equipment in recreational vehicles, has leased a 4,000-square-foot space at 5 Enterprise Dr., North Branford. 

The lease is for three years. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The space is a recently-renovated unit in a multi-tenant building. The unit is served by a truck dock, and the company has added a ramp so it can be used as a drive-in door for recreational vehicles.

Aaron Silidker is the president of RoamRig, which he founded in 2019.  

Kristin and Kevin Geenty of The Geenty Group, Realtors in Branford, were the sole brokers in the transaction, representing both the tenant and the landlord, K. Russo Construction Inc.
