A Westport-based healthcare real estate investment company has purchased a Stratford medical office building for $2.7 million, according to land records, with plans to redevelop the property to Class-A standards.
Aspect Health purchased the 21,462-square-foot medical building at 2909 Main Street in February, land records show.
Aspect Health says it is a real estate advisor, investor and developer with a specialization in “healthcare hospitality.”
The company said it plans extensive exterior and interior common area renovations to the property, including new parking lots, sidewalks, curbs, landscaping and outdoor lighting. It also acquired an adjacent site to expand the parking lot.
The redeveloped facility will have interior design improvements, including COVID-inspired enhancements for patient and care provider protection such as touchless foot pedals in elevators and touchless door openers. The renovations are expected to be completed in the third quarter of this year, the company said.
The three-story property was built in 1998, sits on 1.04 acres and has 72 parking spaces.
Aspect Health was represented by JLL’s Sean McDonnell. Randy Vidal of Vidal/Wettenstein represented the seller, 2909 Main Street LLC, which is controlled by Dr. Robert D. Russo, a radiologist who has a Bridgeport business address.
