A multi-family apartment portfolio with two apartment buildings, one house and roughly 130 units has been sold in Stratford for $23 million.
Sherwood Square Apartments at 480, 490 and 498 Sherwood Place is a 105-unit multifamily property with eight studio, 46 one-bedroom, and 50 two-bedroom apartments, along with one single-family home.Â
The properties at 490-498 Sherwood sold for $19,295,850, and the building at 480 Sherwood sold for $254,150.
Avon Apartments at 1126 Stratford Ave. has 24 units, primarily one bedroom with one studio apartment available. It sold for $3,450,000.
The properties were sold by Bridgeport-based Sherwood NCM FP LLC to Stratford Gardens Limited Partnership, an affiliate of Stratford Garden Holdings and principal Judah Rothschild, according to town land records.Â
This is the first Connecticut portfolio for the New York-based Stratford Gardens group, said Senior VP Investments Brad Balletto of Shelton-based Northeast Private Client Group, who, along with Senior Associate Robert Paterno, represented the seller and procured the buyer.
Both complexes offer off-street parking and on-site laundry, and are both located less than a mile from the Stratford Metro-North Train Station, and close to Interstate 95.
