STR Holdings shareholder Bryant R. Riley will fill the Enfield solar company’s recently vacated board seat, the company announced.
Riley owns approximately 12.6 percent of STR’s outstanding shares. He will serve on the board without compensation until its May annual meeting. He’s replacing former board member Susan C. Schnabel.
Riley is chairman of B. Riley & Co. in Los Angeles and serves on the board of directors for Great American Group and Strasbaugh, both based in California.
Earlier this month, STR reduced the size of its board from eight members to six, effective in May. STR said board members Scott S. Brown and Dominick J. Schiano have informed the company that they will not stand for reelection.
