Enfield solar component manufacturer STR Holdings said has appointed a solar exec to its board of directors.
Haiyang “Ocean” Yuan, 53, was has been president and CEO of Oregon-based Grape Solar Inc. since 2009.
He previously served on the board of JC Group Holdings Ltd. In Hong Kong and as a senior vice president of Solarfun Power Holdings between 2007 and 2009.
STR said Yuan’s appointment as an independent director was a condition of a 2014 stock purchase agreement involving an affiliate of Zhenfa Energy Group Co., the Chinese company that bought a majority stake in STR in 2014.
