A 76-unit Storrs apartment complex in UConn’s shadow that was once part of Dutch insurer ING’s realty portfolio has sold for $4.35 million, brokers say.
Located about 1 ½ miles from the campus, Renwood Apartments, 25 Dartmouth Road, was built in 1966 on 35 acres and has 32 one-bedroom and 44 two-bedroom units, plus 46 garages.
157-35 OAP Holding LLC was the seller. Hartford investment broker Chozick Realty Inc. represented the seller and procured the buyer, Renwood Apartments LLC.
Broker Rick Chozick said this is the seventh UConn-area apartment complex sale his firm has brokered in the past 14 months.
Renwood was once among approximately 1,000 apartment units in Connecticut that were part of a portfolio belonging to ING, broker Rick Chozick said.
The insurer and its former Windsor retirement-service division ING U.S., soon to be Voya Financial, are now separate.
