Steiner out as Lydall CFO; Julian is in

Lydall Inc. finance chief Erika H. Steiner is leaving the Manchester maker of heat and sound insulation and automotive air- and oil-filter inserts and other products by the end of the month, replaced by a finance veteran from a much larger U.S. manufacturer with West Hartford operations.

Lydall announced Thursday that Robert K. Julian, 50, will take over Oct. 29 as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

The last day for Steiner, formerly Erika G. Turner, will be on or around Nov. 6, the company said.

Julian, 50, currently is senior vice president and CFO for Legrand North America, a unit of France’s Legrand SA, which makes parts and components for electrical systems and information networks installed in homes and commercial buildings.
